January -

1.  The Glass Castle

2.Lilac Girls -  Martha Hall Kelly; Based on a real life story of a New York socialite who championed a group of concentration camp survivors know as the Rabbits.  This was an excellent book.  If you like reading about WWII and the Holocaust, I would highly recommend it

3. Flash - The Homeless Donkey Who Taught Me About Life - Rachel Anne Ridge

4. What Makes Olga Run? - Bruce Grierson; The mystery of the 90-something Track Star and what she can teach us about living longer and happier lives.

5. Saving Simon - How a Rescue Donkey Taught Me the Meaning of Compassion - John Katz; The author saves an abandoned donkey, and the donkey teaches him the true meaning of compassion.

February -

March -

1. Wild Burro Tales - Hale Walter; Thirty Years of  Hauling Ass; a collection of short stories about Pack Burro Racing, Colorado's only Heritage Sport.

April -

Warm Bodies -  Isaac Marion; This is a story about a zombie named R, and how is unlikely bond makes ripples in an unsaved world to save it.  A little different then the movie, but all the same content is there, just in a different order.

May -

1. The New Hunger - Isaac Marion; The prequel to Warm Bodies.  The prequel to Warm Bodies. Finished it yesterday. It explains things that happened before Warm Bodies book, and makes the connections between the characters. There is still a big gap between the books. I did like it, but Warm Bodies is a much better book. Now to start reading the sequel, The Burning World. If you like zombies, the is a good series. I am not really a "zombie" person, I just loved the movie, Warm Bodies, it's really a love story. ****Also, reading zombies books before you fall asleep, not a good idea. . . . .#warmbodies

July -

1. The Burning World - Isaac Marion; The third book in the Warm Bodies series.  The third book in the series is a continuation of Warm Bodies.  Julie and R leave the stadium with a gang of refugees start exploring the wasteland of America to find answers to the zombie plague.  Good, but Julie become a different person, so it becomes hard for R to understand her.  And, apparently there will be a fourth book.
